Organizing Charts

Within a single dashboard, charts can be organized in a variety of ways. A few common methods are top down and theme based.

Top Down

Top down organization is a commonly used way to organize charts. For the top down method, higher level metrics are displayed towards the top of the dashboard, and more detailed charts are placed lower on the dashboard:

Theme Based

Themed based chart organiation is another way to group charts within one dashboard. Theme based chart organization can be enhanced by using Number Overlay charts to display a text chart for subdividing charts that belong to the same theme:

To create a Number Overlay chart, the SELECT command can be used with a text string. Additionally, the "Untitled Chart" title that is automatically inserted can by removed by typing in a space in the name:
