Cloud Data Teams Release Notes

These release notes represent improvements to the CDT platform as of December 2023.

Sisense Rebrand

October 1, 2024

When a CDT site is disabled (typically due contract issues), currently-logged-in users will be logged out. Any attempt by a user to log in will generate this message:

Your access to Sisense for Cloud Data Teams has been suspended. If this was not expected, please contact support at supportdt@sisense.com for assistance. If no action is taken, your account may be decommissioned.

We've made this change due to customer feedback to provide more informative system feedback.

Note: if a customer has access to multiple sites, but one is disabled, they will not get the above error message and will instead be redirected to a still-active site. This experience will stay the same as before.

Databricks Connector

August 7, 2024

A native Databricks connector is now available for all CDT customers, for no additional cost.

Forced Logout - Increased Session Duration

January 31, 2024

Session length before timeout has been increased from 24 hours to 72 hours, as a result of feedback from customers.

Salesforce REST API Upgrade to v36.0

February 5, 2024

This updates the supported Salesforce REST API from v31.0 (+29.0) to v36.0. v36.0 introduces a WorkOrder object that is not available in earlier versions.

Note: Per Salesforce official documentation, this object has been deprecated as of API version 32.0. Use the User object to query information about a user in API version 32.0 and later. More details can be found here.

Forced Logout

December 13, 2023

This update reduces the standard session timeout for CDT from 30 days to 24 hours of inactivity. Depending on the last login, some users may be logged out automatically, and will have to sign back into the application.

This change only impacts customers who do not have SSO (Single Sign On) set up within their CDT environment. If time outs of lower thresholds are required, Sisense recommends that customers make use of their internal SSO capability for self-management. Single Sign On (SSO) allows admins to set up session timeout settings on their own, outside of Sisense’s purview. Should you have any additional questions, please refer to our SSO documentation.

This change greatly reduces the risk of unintentional data exposure if the device you are using is shared amongst others and the session remains active on that device. Additionally, longer sessions consume server resources (memory, connections) for a more extended period, potentially impacting system performance and scalability.
